The Rennix Running Approach

At Rennix Running, I believe successful training is built on consistency and knowing when to push and when to recover.

Great runners aren't just created by simply doing more. They're created by applying the right training stimulus at the right time, and actually absorbing the training to be able to express it on race day!

My approach is centered around developing the complete athlete through purposeful workouts, controlled intensity, and long-term progression.

Train Smart. Stay Consistent.

Every athlete responds differently to training. Instead of following a one-size-fits-all formula, I adjust training based on your current fitness, goals, schedule, strengths, and areas for improvement.

The goal is not to force a system onto an athlete. The goal is to find the system that works best for the athlete.

Non-Linear Periodization

Training is not a straight line.

Rather than completely abandoning certain qualities throughout the year, I believe in maintaining and developing multiple aspects of fitness while shifting emphasis based on the athlete's goals and racing calendar.

Speed, strength, aerobic development, and race-specific fitness all have a place, the focus simply changes over time.

The Power of Threshold Training

The aerobic system is the engine of distance running.

Threshold training allows athletes to improve their ability to sustain faster paces, handle higher training loads, and become more efficient runners.

Through carefully designed threshold sessions, I build fitness without constantly relying on maximal efforts.

Avoiding the Gray Zone

More intensity does not always equal more improvement.

Too many moderate in-between efforts can leave runners stuck between recovery and adaptation.

I believe in creating clear separation.

Hard days have a purpose. Easy days allow adaptation. Recovery is part of the training process.
